Membership of YDI is open to Christian youths from all denominations and backgrounds.
All intending members must attend the membership-training programme conducted by YDI fellows/local chapter leaders.
All intending members must fill the membership assessment questionnaire.
All intending members must undergo a screening interview conducted by YDI fellows/local chapter leaders.
All successful
intending members shall be inducted into YDI (The Successors Haven)
after signing membership covenant, in a public ceremony to be witnessed
by YDI Partners, Fellows, Associates, members and invited guests.
YDI Associates
An associate is a YDI member who has been involved in YDI while on
campus as a student, who is ready to remain committed to YDI after
graduation.
YDI Fellows
The Hall of Faith
of YDI is made up of distinguished YDI youths who have been so honoured
as 'Fellows'. 'Hall of Faith' is not a call to occupy position but to
take up responsibility as servants.
In the concise words of YDI President, Pastor Joe, "The Fellows are my
Partners, Sons and Daughters, they are not title holders as it were,
they are my Onesimuses, Philemons, Timothys and Tituses. They are
fellow workers in YDI project" (Philemon 1: 18).
Basic criteria
A faithful disciple with good report.
Must have entered into the covenant of purity and remained consistent.
Must have been involved with YDI for over 5 years and above.
Must have consented to being a YDI life partner.
Must have exhibited unquestionable and dependable character as a young leader.
Must be passionate and addicted to God's work at YDI.
The induction into the
"Hall of Faith" is held at Camp Joseph annually. The maiden edition was
held on the 29th December 2003 with twelve (12) pioneering youths.
